Der Film liegt nicht in TV-Norm vor, sondern im Filmformat mit 24 frames per second (fps), wie Blu-rays.

Alle oben genannten Angaben beziehen sich auf den Final Cut auf Disc 1.

Der Final Cut liegt in der Erstauflage von 1999 in 1,85:1 Letterboxed (480i / nicht anamorph) vor, entsprechend dem damaligen Criterion-Veröffentlichungsstandard, in der Neuauflage von 2006 dann anamorph codiert.

Die Love Conquers All-Version ist die Schnittfassung der Universal Studios für das US-TV, die ohne Gilliams Einverständnis vorgenommen wurde. Sie ist stark gekürzt, enthält eine andere Eingangssequenz sowie ein Happy End.
