A note on the presentation:

The version of The Party's Over presented here is a pre-release cut, based entirely on an archival print discovered by the BFI during its search for film elements, and includes extensive footage that was removed and/or replaced before the film was finally granted an 'X' and given its cinema release in 1965.

Altough the pre-release print that was sourced featured onscreen credits for director Guy Hamilton and producer Anthony Perry, suggesting that it was likely to have been one of the very earliest and most authentic cuts of the film ever submitted to the BBFC, recent correspondence has revealed that this version does not constitute an approved Guy Hamilton cut. As a result, the BFI has been asked to remove credits from the presentation. [...]
