Offenbar von einer (guten) VHS-Kopie gezogen. Man sieht jedoch am Anfang kurz dass das Band einen Fehler hatte.

Frühe Version des späteren Films "The Honorable".

Regisseur Jesse Johnson in einem Interview über den Unterschied von "The Doorman" zu "The Honorable":

"The Doorman was a rushed edit with a substandard post production process, a very dissatisfying artistic experience. Heartbreaking actually, the editor had an agenda quite different to mine. The Honorable, is far closer to my vision of the story. Main differences, are pacing and the exclusion of some awkward scenes involving an unnecessary subplot with Andre. I'm proud of the finished film, but there are really only moments of what we are all going to contribute to films in the future. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it. (Incidentally, not a single cut from the Doorman was retained, the Honorable was assembled from the raw footage, the new Editor did not have a copy of the Doorman, the sound was reworked, the music and the color temperature.) "
