Nineteen years ago, Daniel Holden (Aden Young) was sentenced to death for the rape and murder of his teenage girlfriend, Hanna. With the discovery of new DNA evidence, Daniel is released and must now try to find a way to cope with his past, forge a "normal" life and deal with the unexpected future before him.

In the fourth and final season, Daniel has moved away from his hometown in Georgia and is beginning his new life at a halfway house in Nashville. Separated from his family, Daniel continues his struggle to manage life after prison. The family that he left behind is fractured, but not completely broken. Can they find ways to move forward.
